If I gave out an award for most impressive family,  it would be to this group of 4.  Two days before the session the mom is emailing me a few questions except she is in Ireland. She flew back to the US the day before our session, and managed to put together these amazingly styled outfits. Plus, they drove into Boston from Harvard, MA for their 6:30am Castle Island session because they wanted the photographs in their old neighborhood. I’m exhausted just remembering all of this.

We met early in the morning for the beautiful sunrise at Boston’s Castle Island.  Sundays mornings, in particular, are especially nice. Very few people are out, and the city is quiet.  A busy location like Castle Island is particularly nice to be out early. On this morning a storm was coming in so the wind was picking up. I loved how it created natural movement in the hair.

Castle Island is special meaning to this family.  Until recently they lived nearby and the mom would run in the area taking the daughter in a running stroller. The oldest daughter remembered there was a playground nearby and had her heart set on getting to it.  So, of course we stopped for a few photographs at her favorite spot.
