It has been three years since I’ve had an outdoor newborn session so when mom requested one this past May I was a little bit nervous. With at home sessions I have a nice rhythm that get into. It took a moment for me to adjust it to being outside but I’m in love with how the family’s newborn photos came out.  I couldn’t have asked for a better family to work with. Since their oldest is still a toddler, with A LOT of energy, and it worked out perfectly to be outside since it allowed him to run around.

The session took place at Olmsted Park near Jamaica Plain in Boston, which is a place where the family spends a lot time.  We found two beautiful spots with gorgeous light as the sun was setting. The family brought with them two beautiful handmade blankets that we were able to incorporate into the session.

During the family’s session I took a few videos and integrated the videos and photographs into a video.  I’m having some fun experimenting with this new medium.
