Fun-filled Summer Boston Family Photo Session

Once a year I donate a family session to Belmont Cooperative Nursery School (BCNS) – my kids’ preschool.  While I donate and volunteer my time in many other ways, it is the only time I donate a full photo session. I feel lucky that I found such a caring place for my kids to go to school.  I’m really impressed with the programming and staff, and if you are in the area, I highly recommend you look into BCNS.  The session ends up being popular item that generates income for the school, which always surprised me.  Anyone who buys tickets for the auction can attend and I’m amazed at the quality of donations.

I didn’t know the people that won the session this year since their children are 8 year old twins and attended the school before us; however, they were a fun group and I’m glad we met.  They usually gets photos taken in the fall near the boys’ birthday but I’m glad we were able to schedule them in the early summer.

If I’m being honest, and I’m sure the parents don’t mind me saying this, but it was a hard session.  The boys didn’t want to be there and there were a number of eye rolls, especially in the beginning. What really made this session was mom AND dad.  They didn’t get annoyed. They didn’t yell.  They kept it positive and upbeat and worked with all of my suggestions.  Seeing the results mad be really happy because (1) I loved the outcome and (2) I knew this was a team effort.
