This couple met at Boston University so it seemed fitting that they wanted to take their engagement photos at the campus. I love when couples have ideas for their sessions and are able to incorporate these meaningful places into the photos.  Engagement photography sessions are a wonderful opportunity for me, as a photographer, to get to know a couple before the wedding, and for engaged couple to see how I work and become more comfortable in front of the camera.  I’ve lived in Boston for almost 3 years now and I have never been on the campus before.  We had a lot of fun  walking around the BU campus and this newlywed couple shared stories about their experiences in college.   I had a great time exploring the campus with them and seeing where some of their classes took place and where the met – the sailing club. This soon-to-be bride and groom were so relaxed and up for anything.  We started off at the main part of campus and then head to an ivy wall that ended up being the perfect backdrop for some of the engagement photos.  After that, we meandered down a path alongside the Charles River to the sailing clubhouse where they met.  The team was just coming back from sailing so the engaged couple was able to say hi to a few friends.  As we were finishing up, the sun finally decided to peak through the clouds.  These last photo were some of my favorites.
