When this handsome baby’s mom contacted me for his 6 month session I couldn’t believe has fast time had gone by.  We met in January for his newborn photos at their home in South Boston.  At the time she mentioned another session at Castle Island.   My first time at Castle Island was a few months earlier for a fall engagement session and I was looking forward to visiting the park again on a warmer day. We were supposed to meet up a couple of weeks earlier but the weather was a bit dreary and since we were getting up early for a sunrise session we wanted to make sure we were able to capture the beautiful morning light.  Whenever parents agree to an early morning session, I’m thrilled!  The light is beautiful in the morning, and, being the summer the temperature was a little cooler.  (These photos were taken during one of our multiple heat waves.)  Some babies are just early risers so its nice to take advantage of that happy time.

This photography session took place in South Boston on Castle Island. And, I LOVE all the outfits mom picked up for him.  She had three different shirts and they were all really adorable.  Also, I can’t get over how much this little man looks like his father.

I love taking photos when babies are 6 months old and just sitting up.  First, they sit still for photos and usually are so excited by the world.
