Create uses of light in newborn photography in Boston homes

As a Boston newborn photographer, you never know what space you’ll walk into or what the light will be like. I think it is why I love in-home newborn sessions so much. When I first arrive, I ask families to give me a tour of the house and then I need to quickly come up with a game plan. Interesting light and shadows present in one room might not be there in 30 minutes. In this family’s home, there were some dark wall colors that I used to emphasize the mood in the photographs.  I’m always looking for elements that will make a family’s photos personalized.

If you make to the bottom, the last photograph makes me laugh.  This family kept the toys really organized.  While I was there the toddler managed to dump out every single bin, which is what toddlers do.  So, obviously we needed to grab a photo in the created chaos.k
