Dear Ezra,

You turned two this month! Two! It is unbelievable that it was your second birthday.  Since your birthday is on the 4th, we watched the parade where you could see the firetrucks.  After we spent the day at the pool, which you loved.   Now we are practically having conversations.  This past week you started saying the word “new.”  You say things like, “my new ocean,” “my new sandbox” (aka the beach), etc. It is quite humorous.  Lately, you are more interested in your toys and have quite the imagination.  I was amazed that you started using a chair as a tunnel for your train and you even pretended that a few blocks were trains.  Your relationship with you sister is growing.  Sadie loves looking at you and sometimes you are able to get her to laugh, which is very cute.  I can’t wait to see what is in store for August.  We are spending some time with your cousins and I am looking forward to seeing you play with them.

The photos below are from your birthday weekend.  Softa bought you a seahorse floaty.  You had to use it in the lake.  I think you liked using it for balance but also because it was a seahorse. Days after we left the lake we kept hearing, “Where’d my seahorse go?”
