When you walk into a session fully color coordinated with the family you are photographing you just know it is going to go well.  My usual newborn get up is black yoga pants and a white t-shirt.  This ensemble is practical for me – yoga pants so my bum doesn’t hang out when I bend over and a white shirt so I don’t throw a color cast on to anyone’s skin.  For this session, I think I had jeans on but added a light pink sweater because it was chilly outside and I was headed somewhere after.  A deviation from my normal wardrobe broke the ice when Dad joked that I must have received the memo from his wife.

These two kids were adorable.  The baby had the biggest eyes I’ve ever seen and the older sister was cute and it was so funny how she became obsessed with her chapstick (see  the photo below).
