This baby naming ceremony was really touching.  In Judaism, some families with daughters will have a baby naming ceremony.  It is a time for family and friends to come together to celebrate the baby’s life. Part of the ceremony is describing who the baby is named after and why.  In many cases the name might just start with the first letter so it doesn’t  have to be gender specific.  When it came time to talk about Sadie’s name everyone was in tears.    Everyone in attendance was really sweet, and it was even more special that both of Sadie’s great-grandmothers were in attendance.

Before the ceremony, we were able to take a few individual photos of Sadie and also some of the family that had gathered to be  there.
