What happens when you photograph another Boston family photographer?

It is really flattering when another photographer asks you to photograph his family.  The dad used to live in my town and we first met when I assisted at one of his photography sessions for a restaurant.  I had to hold up a light and it was actually pretty hard.

For his family session, I spent some time with his wife and two year old daughter.  They wanted to explore a nearby trail that they frequently visit and then the beach where they spend a lot of time. We ended up with a beautiful Sunday evening in September and were able to take our time exploring.  Their two year old daughter was absolutely adorable.  Since her parents focused on playing with her we were able to capture some genuine expressions and smiles.

Since dad is the photographer in the family, I made sure to get plenty of portraits on the two of him and his daughter together.
