It can be hard to convince people to get outside when it is freezing out but there is something about the snow that makes it fun as a photographer. We had already rescheduled this session once due to rain so I was excited when we  decided to just go ahead with the session this past Sunday. It was pretty cold outside but we didn’t stay out too long.  Actually, I think we finished our session in only 10 minutes!  Ellen, the mom, assisted me with my mini sessions back in October and in return I offered to shoot a mini session for them. Instead of photographing her family in the fall we waited until February when her baby boy would be turning one. I’m glad we waited for the photos. Her son has just started walking and it was a lot of fun capturing the joy on his face as well as his parents.  Don’t forget to catch out those AMAZING red shoes.  The family drove from their home in Somerville MA to meet me at a nearby park in Belmont, MA called Beaver Brook Reservation.  The park is not too far from Boston, MA.

This is the third time I’ve photographed this family. My first session with them was back in December 2012 for some maternity photos and then again was Kyle was 3 months old (I’m pretty sure I haven’t even blogged that session yet!).  It is always nice to see client again, and especially babies so you can see how much they have grown. The mom is a photographer as well so it is fun hearing about her experiences. Plus, she even remembered Sadie’s birthday since the two babies are one month apart!
