This mom found me on a parent listserve and I was so excited to meet the family! This was my first twin session and grandma was visiting from England. Mom really wanted a photo of the two babies together – and who wouldn’t? The little girl was most comfortable in the arms of her parents so we really struggled to get her to lay down by herself. She totally reminded me of my son when he was a newborn. The last five minutes of the session we finally did it! It was a team effort and made the first image below so much more meaningful. It was so amazing to see the twins interact with her other. All the sister wanted to do was snuggle with her brother.
It was overcast and lightly raining when I first arrived and the house was really dark. We had to get really creative with the space and light. I love a situation like this because it forces me to be really creative with light. I really love the parent shots. Lastly, at the last minute mom remembered she had a quilt her sister made for their wedding. It was beautiful and I’m so glad we were able to incorporate it.
