This session was really special for me.  The mom called me to share her story and how special this pregnancy was to her and her husband.  I was so touched by their story that I rearranged a few things in my schedule to make sure that I would be able to photograph this newborn girl in the hospital.

In Boston, we are lucky to have many wonderful options for giving birth.  During the last few years, I have visited a number of hospitals for “Fresh 48” sessions. There is something incredibly special about being in a room hours or even a day after a baby is born.  There is a pure joy and happiness that is unmatched in any other setting I have encountered in this type of work.

At the end of my time with this new family, the grandparents stopped in so I was able to capture a few photographs with them too.
