Creating Natural Newborn Photography Sessions in Boston

Oh, how I love newborn sessions and this Boston natural, indoor home session is a great example. This Boston family was looking for something relaxed and natural to welcome home their baby boy.  Mom knitted a beautiful blue blanket that we used as a backdrop for his individual photos.  Also, the parents had a dog that photobombed many of our photos. The presence of the dog continued my 5 month streak of dogs at all my newborn sessions. Having the dogs there is a nice treat for me.  I have two cats but I love having the dogs around; it is always fun to see how we can get the animals into photos. One of my favorite images below is where the dog catches the mom off guard with a kiss.

This client’s home had these beautiful high windows. They were the only source of natural light in the home but they provided beautiful light and a nice architectural element to use in the images.
