Two months is not too late for newborn photos
Maybe you had a lot going on, didn’t think to book a photographer or are feeling nostalgic, this two month old baby demonstrates you can still capture those tiny details.
This handsome newborn was two months old when I met him. His mom reached out thinking she wanted more posed and outdoor newborn photos but loved my portfolio of natural, indoor sessions. We spent more of our time together inside but did venture out into the background for some beautiful outdoor family photographs. Because of dad’s schedule, I ended up coming in the evening so the light was perfect at the end of the session.
The session began with a tour of the house, which was just beautiful. I didn’t realize that the baby was sleeping in a crib in their bedroom so I just started snapping away there. When he woke up, he was so expressive and full of smiles that we continued with photos of him. Soon after that he needed to eat but some of my favorite photos are of his baby face and gestures. I haven’t photographed a two month old baby in a few months and forgot how expressive and how much eye contact they can give you at this young age.
We were lucky to capture a few of his maternal grandmother who was in town from India for a few more days. How special that she could come all the way to Boston for the baby’s first couple of months.
