A few weeks ago I was able to photograph 5 week old Silas. This newborn lifestyle session was really special for me because it was for my friends Anne and Chad. They used to be our neighbors and then moved away to Natick. We spent a lot of time in the nursery, which is decorated by photographs taken by Chad’s dad.  Also, in the nursery is this beautiful bird mobile that Anne made for Silas.  For the rest of the session we went downstairs to the living room where they spend most of their time.  My favorite photos are the series below of Silas on the ottoman.  Since the baby was 5 weeks old at this session he was more awake, expressive and just starting to smile.

At the session I started playing around with videos.  I’ve been trying to figure out how to integrate the two.  If you are interested, my first attempt is here.
