There is snow on the ground in Boston so it was nice thinking of the warmth from this summer session.  I actually can’t believe I haven’t blogged this session yet.  We were originally going to meet up somewhere in Wellesley or Natick for the photos – Wellesley College, Elm Bank in Wellesley. or Natick Organic Farm – but we were in the middle of a heat wave and opted opted at their house in Natick, MA where we could escape the unbearable heat.

I loved photographing this little guy!  This baby was about 9 months old at our session last summer.  At first, the baby looked so serious but once he had a chance to warm up to me we caught some smiles.  We started with some outdoor photos in the family’s backyard but we didn’t last long.  Their backyard wasn’t very big but they had a great patch of shade for us to work with.  In the summer, when the sun is high in the sky I usually look for a spot of open shade.  The photo session was on one of those unbearably hot days and fortunately we scheduled the family portrait session for the morning.  The heat advisory couldn’t damper this baby’s spirits!  We started with some individual photos of the baby and then moved onto some family photos.  The overall outfit is so adorable and looks so cute in the photographs.   Once the heat became too overwhelming, we moved into the air conditioned house and up to the baby’s beautiful nursery. I was able to capture some photographs of the baby playing with some of his favorite toys – a book, a car and of course Rody.  This guy wasn’t on the move yet, which made it a little easier for us to take the photographs.
