It was so wonderful to see so many of the bride and groom’s family and friends join them for their wedding a few weeks ago.  The couple is not from the Boston, MA so almost everyone had to travel to attend.  (You can view their fall engagement session here.) Their beautiful outdoor ceremony took place at outdoor garden at Le Meridien Hotel in Cambridge, MA and then the party moved inside for the reception. Previously, I didn’t know their hotel existed but it is a beautiful, modern place just off of Massachusetts Ave in Cambridge.   A few weeks before the wedding, the bride learned about that RiverFest would be occurring in Cambridge and we would have a few complications. The first concern was whether the music would interfere with the garden ceremony and then their was the issue of actually getting to the hotel since a number of the roads would be closed. The police did let the groom through the barriers, though.  By the time the ceremony started the festival was clearing out and the tents and crowds were clearing out when we went outside to take photos of the couple.  At the ceremony, the focus was on the couple who wrote their own vows.  It was a nice touch and both were so sweet.  However, the groom garnered a few chuckles when pulled out the very long scroll his vows were written on.

For the bridal portraits, we found a few beautiful gardens areas across the street from the hotel and also utilized a cool looking wall at a nearby MIT building.  The timing of everything was perfect and we had beautiful golden hour light.
