Summer Family Photos in Boston are a Great Alternative to the Fall
We are days away from August and my fall calendar is already starting to fill. Who doesn’t love the fall colors? The changing leaf colors in New England are incredible. However, one of my favorite times for a family photography session in Boston is in August.
Why, you ask? The weather is generally a little cooler than July (or at least is seems like it), there are beautiful colors from the flowers and the sunsets are pretty spectacular. Since we are farther away from the summer equinox, the sun sets a little earlier, which makes it easier for younger clients to make those sunset times.
However, my favorite two reasons for August sessions are (1) it is still WARM. In the fall, you just never know what the temperatures will be. And, (2) everyone is still relaxed. Once school starts in September, we are no longer in summer mode and there are activities, school, work, events, etc.
Below is a session that took place just two weeks ago. It was so nice seeing them again. The mom first hired me for newborn photos after reading an article I wrote for ClickinMoms. We have stayed in touch as they are living internationally for a few years. They came back to the states to visit and coordinated summer portraits with me. I was really flattered that they took some time out of their schedule. The three kids are just great but you can definitely tell who is in charge.
